02 Data we collect
What we collect, and only what we need.
We collect the minimum personal data required to respond to inquiries, deliver services, and operate this website lawfully. Specifically:
- Contact and inquiry data. When you book a call, send an email, or reach out via any channel: name, email address, firm name, the content of your message, and any documents you choose to share.
- Booking metadata. When you book through our scheduling tool: the time slot you selected, time zone, and any answers you provide to pre-call questions.
- Engagement data. If you become a client: contractual information, project files, email correspondence, call recordings (only with explicit consent), and any data you provide for the work.
- Technical data. Server-side logs that may include IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, time of visit. Used for security and infrastructure operation, not for tracking individuals.
We do not run analytics trackers, advertising pixels, retargeting scripts, or behavioral profiling on this site. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar, no LinkedIn Insight Tag.
03 How we use it
Purposes of processing.
- To respond to inquiries and schedule conversations.
- To deliver contracted services and manage the engagement.
- To maintain accounting records and meet legal obligations (tax, audit).
- To operate and secure this website (server logs, abuse prevention).
- To communicate with you about your engagement, project, or related work.
We do not use your personal data for behavioral advertising, sale to third parties, or any purpose unrelated to delivering and supporting the work you have engaged us for.
04 Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR / LGPD)
Why we are allowed to process your data.
Under GDPR, UK GDPR, and Brazil's LGPD, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract. To deliver services to clients we have signed with.
- Legitimate interests. To respond to inquiries, secure our infrastructure, and operate our business. We balance our interest against your rights.
- Consent. For specific actions where we ask for it (e.g. recording a call). You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation. For accounting, tax, and audit retention requirements.
05 Third-party processors
Who else may see your data.
We use a small set of trusted third-party services. Each is bound by their own privacy policy and acts as a data processor under our instruction:
- Calendly. Scheduling platform used for booking calls. Receives the data you submit when booking. Calendly privacy policy.
- Email infrastructure. Standard business email provider used to send and receive correspondence.
- Google Fonts. Typography served from Google CDN. May log IP addresses on font requests. Google privacy policy.
- esm.sh. Open-source CDN serving the interactive globe library used on the homepage.
- Hosting infrastructure. Static hosting provider for this website. Standard server logs only.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.
06 Cookies and tracking
Minimal, by design.
This website does not set its own analytical, advertising, or tracking cookies.
- The Calendly booking widget, when loaded, may set its own cookies under Calendly's control. See their privacy policy for detail.
- Google Fonts may set or read fonts.gstatic.com cookies as part of its CDN behavior.
- Standard server logs are not cookie-based.
If you require strict no-third-party-cookie behavior, you can email us instead of using the booking widget. We will work with you on the channel you prefer.
07 International transfers
Global by design.
LIAISON operates internationally. Personal data may be processed in the United States (where the company is registered), Brazil (where the operator is based), or any jurisdiction where our processors operate. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Brazil, we rely on appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses with our processors and contractually required confidentiality.
08 Data retention
How long we keep things.
- Inquiry data. Up to 24 months after last contact, then deleted unless an engagement begins.
- Engagement records. For the duration of the engagement plus the period required by applicable law (typically 5 to 10 years for contracts, accounting, and tax).
- Server logs. Up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention.
- Marketing or correspondence content. Until you ask us to delete it, or until our legal retention period requires us to keep it.
09 Your rights
What you can ask us to do.
Under GDPR, UK GDPR, LGPD, and similar frameworks, you have the right to:
- Access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification. Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure. Ask us to delete your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Restriction. Ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability. Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection. Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
- Lodge a complaint. With your local data protection authority. In the EU you can find yours at the European Data Protection Board. In the UK at the ICO. In Brazil at the ANPD.
To exercise any of these rights, write to clement@liaison.world. We will respond within 30 days.
10 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
Specific rights for California residents.
If you are a California resident, you have additional specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share your information for advertising. There is nothing to opt out of.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under CPRA.
To exercise these rights, email clement@liaison.world.
11 Confidentiality of engagements
Discretion is the operating system.
For the firms we work with, confidentiality is not a clause buried in a contract. It is the operating posture of the entire engagement.
- All engagements are NDA-bound by default. We sign yours, or provide ours.
- Client identities are not used in marketing, public references, social media, case studies, or any external communication without explicit, written consent.
- Specialist network members operate under downstream NDAs with LIAISON. They do not work directly with clients without your knowledge.
- The MGNI case study published on this site exists because Maximiliano Götz chose to make it public. Most engagements never appear anywhere.
- Client communications, files, and intelligence are stored with access restricted to the operator and the specialists assigned to the engagement.
12 Security
How we protect data.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against accidental loss, unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. This includes encrypted email transport, access-controlled file storage, secure password practices, and limiting access to data on a need-to-know basis.
No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. If a breach occurs that affects your personal data, we will notify you and the appropriate supervisory authority within the timelines required by law (typically 72 hours under GDPR).
13 Children's privacy
This site is not intended for children.
LIAISON's services are aimed at businesses and professional adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16 (or 13 where applicable). If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it.
14 Changes to this policy
When we update it.
We may update this privacy and confidentiality policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For substantive changes affecting how we process the personal data of clients, we will notify clients directly.
15 Contact
